I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.
    OK.

    3 slow SUV’s have a drag race.

What is the point of this exercise?

I’ll drag race bicycles if the opportunity presents itself. Racing is racing.

Well if you can find bracket racing for bicycles good on you.

Those SUV’s aren’t beating up on anything of note in a stoplight Grand Prix, so color me unimpressed. I guess they’ll beat your bicycle though along with economy cars, and of course most pedestrians.

Taken to an actual drag strip and pitted against anything even slightly capable and we get into the territory of idiots.

Winners never quit, and quitters never win; but: those who never quit and never win are idiots.

So today I test drove a Sequoia, my mom is in the market for a new larger SUV than her 2021 RX350 and wanted all of us to go along to see how well everyone fits in what will inevitably be the road trip machine.

With the 4 adults and a 6 year old on board I had no complaints with the power of the iForceMax. Easily smoke my 5.7L V8 Tubdra with just me in it.

It’s still not fast though, and drag racing such a machine is kind of pointless.

Toyota should 100000000% put that iForceMax in an AWD sedan. I don’t care if it only got 20MPG it would be fun, totally worth drag racing something like that.

That was really cool to watch and I was surprised the Defender didn’t win since it’s lighter.

But, LOL… so much for the break in period!

Not flooring it in a drag race multiple times until you’ve got some miles on the car.

You missed the sarcasm. I don’t do break in periods. Get in and drive it however I need to drive it. Never an issue in the 6 new vehicles I’ve ever owned. This isn’t the 50’s.

You missed me ignoring your sarcasm and taking your question respectfully at face value.

I understand your rationale and you do you.

That 3.4/10 speed is a pretty good package. Not sure a drag race is the best way to test it. That Denali with the cylinder deactivation might make it to 100K miles...hopefully.

Always wanted a Denali, but the new Sequoias have eclipsed them imo....if they could only put more cargo space in them.

Those defenders are ugly. And their quality well... you've heard the joke "why don't the English build computers? Because they can't get them to leak oil."

Another fun one. Guess people are starting to realize this 3.4/10 speed is a very tough competitor.
