I have a used 2020 tundra crewmax 2wd. Had 51k miles when i got it.

It makes a small clunk sound when I begin moving forward after start up. Doesn't repeat as long as the truck is on. Only after startups.

I wanted to lube the U-joints but I don't see a port to connect the greasegun.

Additionally I found what appears to be a leak where the driveshaft meets the transmission. What could cause this and could it be the source of the noise. I plan to tow a lot with this truck. 5000lbs on the highway, 8000 around parking lots (pressure washing water tank).

The newer u-joints are sealed and do not have zerks to grease them.

My 2017 driveshaft to the rear diff is zerkless on my 2017, but the shaft going to the front does have zerks…. And they are a pain to lube.

My 2017 SR5 4x4 (10/2016 built date) have zerks on all the drive shafts. Looks like you have a leak, should be under warranty and is easy to replace.

my 2021 4wd has no zerks at all which I am ok with. supposedly the zerkless ones last longer because they are better sealed. Also, it would be a nightmare to grease them regularly when you have cat shields on.

Also, the noise you are hearing is the ABS check. To test it, drive a ways at 5 mph, then as soon as you hit 6mph you will hear it.

That leak is just a weep. I would clean it off and monitor. Some weeps stay that way for hundreds of thousands of miles.

After starting the engine and reaching some speed. All ABS-equipped cars do it, I think. I never saw one not doing that.

My wife's accord doesn't do it. At least if it does, it's not near as noticeable as the Tundra. Toyota has been causing mini panic attacks on Tundra owners for years now

Yes, my Volvo (ATE brake system) is also quieter. Wife's newer ex-Volvo was almost unnoticeable.

Once after startup. Each time you turn on truck, count on hearing it.
