    Hi Guys,

Can anyone with a 2024 Tundra check to see if the rear bumper sticks out around 3 inches or is it flush with the top of the tailgate?
Im thinking of cutting my drywall out in the garage to gain the extra 3 inches I need for it to fit.

Oem tonneau, side steps, spray in liner. Trd skidplate.
What about the wall studs the drywall attaches to??

Will cut and bridge those, in effect creating a recess shelf in the wall.
Will be fine for a bumper profile but not for the whole tailgate profile if the tailgate ends up protruding the same amount as the bumper.

This is probably not a great idea. Building structure and code violations will create a lot of headaches later on.

Nothing a bit of spackle won't hide!
Joking aside do you know of any other options? Slim line bumpers maybe?

Not really...My truck won't fit in my garage, so it's an outside vehicle.

Is it an outside wall, or is the inside of the house on the other side of the wall?

Get rid of the bathroom. Truck is far more important. :)

I know someone who did this for their outboard motor. Wife did not approve.

    Coming soon...
Depends on if I run out of glue and colored paper
This made me literally LOL. I've more than once found myself asking for forgiveness instead of permission. Very much to my detriment. Mine won't clear garage door and with length I'd have to hit diagonally...like taking all the sheets in middle of the night, this too would be problematic. Gonna build a Side carport with roman shades to give some measure of protection

I don't have enough hands for a picture, however on my 2023, the tailgate handle is the point that sticks out the furthest on the tailgate. Using a 6 1/2' level from the concrete floor, shows that point to be 1 13/16" inboard of the outer edge of the bumper.

    Thanks for that!
Guess that rules the Tundra out for me, no way to swallow the extra 3 inches needed!
