Got a pair of Stereo Integrity tweets installed in stock sail panels but wanting to go more stealth and go back to a smaller set that will go in the sail panel in the stock tweet cradle. Never powered them up. They look good but want to keep things hidden.
Thinking some infinity kappas but looking for what you all have used.
I’m selling these in the market place section

Don’t sell them till you get something else tested. The SI tweeters are fantastic tweeters.

    You may regret selling them.

I have mine mounted like you did. You will get accustom to them. I don’t even notice mine anymore.

Just roll with them and enjoy sweet sound the SI makes.

i tried several sets i had laying around including Kappa's and was never happy with any of them. so i gutted and mounted Stegs the same as your SI. Still can't say i'm "happy" as for some reason everything i've tried there always seems to "bright" to me. maybe it's my hearing that doesn't like anything at that location for some reason. i may be picking up some Illusion components on a trip this weekend and if so they are my last "try" before i either just run widebands only in the dash or do some sort of mount for the C3 Components in the dash(if i manage to grab them).....

I bought JBL door sails for my non-JBL audio upgrade.

67491-0C060 - Door Mirror Trim Ring (Right, Front, Lower) - 2014-2021 Toyota Tundra | OEM Genuine Toyota Parts (oemgenuineparts.com)

67492-0C060 - Garnish, Front Door Lower Frame Bracket, Left - OEM Genuine Toyota Parts (oemgenuineparts.com)

I tried to mount my Focal tweeters behind them, but they wouldn't match up and center under it.
I ended up cutting the grille out and modding them in.

Don't ever notice they are there anymore..

If you wanted the tweeters totally stealth, mount them in the side dash.
I ended up disconnecting all 3 OEM dash speakers when I installed the Focal 2-way door components.
Although I'm running an aftermarket HU and 5-channel amp.
The dash speakers running off the HU mucked up the sound stage....

One of the problems with trying to mount a tweeter behind the JBL sail is most tweeters have a grill built into the tweeter. Then the JBL sail panel also has a grill cover on them

Trying to get sound through both grill covers is a no win situation.

Most high end home speaker tweeters do not even have any type of grill cover or a very small wire grill at the most. This is for a reason.

Take a look at the scanspeek elliptical d2404. No grill
The satori tw29bn. Very small wire grill

Are you using a dsp and rta to get everything going.

Just trying different speakers may or may not get you what you are looking for.

The problem we run into with the tundra is the speaker location from the factory is terrible.
Jbl tweeter sail panels are way off axis and they are not even pointed in the same general direction.

This takes some work with a dsp to correct.

The dash speakers firing off the windshield can be an issue also

The center console being as large as it is causes issues even with the door speakers.

If you want sound quality from a tundra it wakes some work.

Some of the best sound quality car stereo I have seen is from PSSound on youtube. He has alot of videos on installation and tuning in a car.

In most cases the tweeter needs to be in some type of pod setup somewhat on axis.
    Same with the midrange.

On my tundra I am using the factory locations.
With a dsp and rta tuning you can get the factory locations to sound good. But I know If I changed speaker locations I could get more out of the system. Just depends on how far you want to go and how much factory look we want to keep.

Almost every sound quality car stereo system has some type of setup like this on the dash upfront.17146723279371483979359713232167.jpg

I get what you're saying but I didn't have that issue.
    The 'grille' popped off.
The actual tweeter even came out of that base.
I just couldn't get it to center.

I like the JBL door sails because they are raised and flat.
Non-JBL door sails are more curved. YMMV

Honestly, you're the only one that notices them and you'll forget soon enough.

I ran Diamond tweeters for the first 10 years in my truck then changed over to SI's. They will become invisible to you soon. And noone outside will even notice them.

    Good point.
I thought I would stare at my aftermarket HU required BT mic every day when I ran it.
2 days and I never noticed it again.:D

I have a great dsp so that helps. I was looking at a lot of different options. I found several but either they wouldn’t fit the factory cradle (which, actually, aims the factory tweets pretty well. The cradles are aimed towards the middle of the dash and raised up a bit).
All the suggestions are great. I have not sold the tweets yet.
I did grab another pair of infinity kappas as they are small and match the mids I’m going to use to keep everything stock so when I sell the truck if I do I can throw all the factory crap back in.
I get the grill through grill. But I put that same tweet in my daughter’s highlander behind the factory grill and they sound awesome with a pair of si tm65. Now again, I am using a dsp in her car as well.

honestly, I am about tempted since I’m about to do this great big front stage switcharoo, I have actually considered putting the factory tweets and corner mids back in and see what I can do with my minidsp.

    probably will not but tempted.

Sad part is I have a pair of m25 in the dash corners and tm8 in the doors and it sounds fantastic but just started wondering what if…..

Yeah. You’re all right about noticing things but…. But I also have a giant 10inch screen floating off the dash as well. looks totally stock, right?

I'm running a pair of Hertz tweeters that have plenty of "bright" sound for your ears.

I like the Stereo Integrity 3 way setup.

Not a good option if you want to go stealth on the install.
The M3 will not fit below the dash grill. I just cut a hole in my grill and did a surface mount.
The tweeters are in the sail. I may at some point redo the sail panel to put them a little more on axis.

If wanting a stealth setup the Focal ps 165F3 component speaker mids will fit under the grill with a little work. And the tweeters will fit behind the JBL sail panel grill with minimal work.
5 star car stereo has a good you tube video on this speaker setup in a tundra.

I am sure there are several 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 inch mids will fit under the dash grill if you decide to keep the tm8 in the door.

So these showed up today. I guess Alexa ordered them as I have been talking about them. Lol
    Fit perfectly in stock cradle.

oddly enough the face plate and grill come off on these.
