Ok. I had it backwards about the files being written and it does not make sense.

Do you think there is another module besides the ecu that dictates what it needs to see to be in unison with the ffv side?

You could try swapping sensor locations and see if the readings change. Though regardless how it's setup, they shouldn't be reading that lean under boost and no way three (four?) sensors all just happen to be that far off in the lean direction.

@armyoffoo I know the further away it will read leaner but not that lean. Not sure if you have access to get new bungs welded in closer to AEM spec but it also may not be the answer.

Youve got a lit done to your engine though huh?
Just wondering as you said you gained some psi by shortening. Im on stock headers with rear cats deleted, 2.5" into Y 1 in2 out muffler and pipes out to bumper

No. I shortened it to reduce back pressure. My mods increased boost pressure and I want to stay in the low 12's.

I might try that, I sent you a log...hopefully I'm wrong, but looking through the numbers I snapped this morning...I saw 15.0 on stock sensors with 9.2 on the boost gauge...playing with fire

Yeah, I have some fancy finned ones that dissipate heat and a shiny new welder to try out...but taking those damn headers off is a bitch...

    Wow! Be safe!
Are ARH headers longer? What about before primary cat in mid pipe? Stall far away.

Well after getting my last plate stolen I decided to go non sleeper mode. Truck is already loud with DD when on it so I figured why not. Most people probably won't get it but performance guys will lol

Kinda dumb then. I bet the magnuson box with SABM, AFE filter and air accelerator performs as well if not better.

For sure fits the 1.9 not sure of the 2650 but if they utilize the same box as before I would guess it would fit that

It should fit both. When I transitioned from the 1900 to the 2650, there were no changes required to the intake with the exception of having to rotate the throttle body back to the factory orientation due to the bypass valve location. This can be seen in the photos in the first post, albeit that the TB on the 2650 is from an RCF. It's also mentioned in the install instructions.

Just so I understand you correctly, you guys flashed the flex fuel tune into the non-flex ECM? And now you are trying to overwrite that with a non-flex tune?

If that is the case, it makes sense that you cannot overwrite the FFV tune with the non-FFV one. HPTuners looks at the calibration IDs and says that they are incompatible. Otherwise you could just write a non-flex tune into the flex ECM in the first place, there would be no need to swap ECMs.
If I were doing it, I would’ve flashed a non-flex tune into the non-flex ECM.
I don’t understand why it would’ve let you flash a FFV tune into it in the first place, but now that it is in there, I don’t know what you can do, other than get another non-flex ECM and flash a non-flex tune modified for a supercharger into it from the get go.
Again, I’m not sure I fully understand the circumstances, but there was no need to flash a flex tune into it. If it was done for testing, the truck would’ve run even with the NA tune that was in the ECM already, it would just be a bit rich from the larger injectors, somewhat compensated for by the larger intake pipe diameter.

I was worried I'd mess up the motor without a SC tune & did not know there would be issues.

Live & learn, not in a hurry to buy another ECM or 4 credits especially seeing as it's running great. Is there a reason I can't put the original read back and start over?

I did a quick search and it seems no one here has used a Aero Force Interceptor gauge. I have used it in the past in my 06 Silverado SS w/MP112. I had a O2 Wideband and boost hooked to it. It s a multi-function gauge that can read a lot of sensors like a scanguage and cycle through a preset of those sensors. I usually had Boost, AFR, trans temp, IAT & engine temp cycle through.

Ok. Makes some sense based on @ViktorG summarization.
I wonder if you can explain to HPT what happened. As it seems like it would be a HPT code not letting it happen.

This is uncharted territory for me (writing FFV tunes into non-FFV ECMs and vice versa), so unfortunately I don’t have any idea of what would and wouldn’t work.

Would you think there would be an issue writing the original file back and if there were would it fail like writing the tune did (and not do anything)?

    Thanks

Well, the original file (I’m assuming you are referring to the stock file you got from HPTuners for the non-flex ECM and sent to Toby to modify) is no different than the modified one Toby sent back to you (from the ECM’s and HPTuners’ perspective). It’s the same calibration file, just with different parameters.

Nope, I'm talking about the read I took before I did anything to the ecu. The origin state it was in.

Just to make sure we are on the same page, you don’t “read” the file from the ECM. HPTuners reads the calibration ID from the ECM and gives you a matching stock file for it from their database. No data/parameters are read from the ECM. At least that’s how it worked when I used to do tuning, maybe they have the ability to read the data from the ECM now, @snivilous could chime in on that, I haven’t tuned anything in over a year.

In any case, all you can do is try at this point, I have no idea what can and cannot happen with the weird state the ECM is in right now.
